General Office Policies

Our most important office policy is that we are committed to working with you and your family to provide the best possible dental care regardless of your insurance benefits.

Appointments

Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved exclusively for you. If you are unable to keep your appointment we kindly ask that you give a 24 hour notice. Pre-school children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort.

Finances

Payment for professional services is due at the time of dental treatment. Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan which fits your timetable and budget, and provides the best possible dental care. We accept personal check,debit cards and most major credit cards. We also work with CARE CREDIT a dental financing credit card program.

Insurance

Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services and allow them 45 days to render payment. After 60 days, you are responsible for the entire balance, paid-in-full. If you have any questions please call our front office staff and they will be happy to assist you.

HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT FACTS TO CONSIDER:

Fact 1- NO INSURANCE PAYS 100% OF ALL PROCEDURES

Dental Insurance is meant to be and aid in receiving dental care. Many patients think that their insurance pays 90%-100% of all dental fees. This is not true. Most plans only pay between 50%-80% of the average total fee. The percentage paid is usually determined by how much you or your employer has paid for coverage, or the type of contract your employer has setup with the insurance company.

Fact 2 -BENEFITS ARE NOT DETERMINED BY OUR OFFICE

Sometimes your dental insurer reimburses you or our office at a lower rate than our actual fee. Frequently, insurance companies state that the reimbursement was reduced because our fees had exceed the usual, customary, or reasonable fee ("UCR") used by the company. This amount can vary among different insurance companies and is set based on data collected that can be 3-5 years old. In addition, the less expensive insurance policies will use a lower usual, customary or reasonable("UCR") fee.

Fact-3 DEDUCTIBLES AND CO-PAYMENTS MUST BE CONSIDERED

Please check with our front desk staff to determine whether or not your insurance has set deductibles for certain procedures. All insurance companies vary.
